The Hero.

Two directions for the top of the gaming page — and where it can go next.

What this is

One screen to land the idea.

The hero is the first thing anyone sees on the gaming page. Its one job: make “fashion, made playable” obvious in about three seconds — the avatar, the garment, the attitude.
Everything below it explains. The hero just has to hit. We took it in two directions — same avatar, same line, two ways of framing it. Pick one and we build the page around it.

Direction A — Tablet 1

Red type, black field.

The headline burns straight onto the black. The avatar stands in the dark, the red FASHION PLAYABLE reads as a statement, not a label. Maximum editorial, minimum furniture — closest to a fashion cover. Strongest when the avatar render carries the whole frame on its own.

Direction B — Tablet 2

Red block, hard cut.

The lower third becomes a solid red field with the headline knocked out in black. More graphic, more gaming, more brand. The red block gives the page a second anchor and makes the section instantly recognisable when someone scrolls back up. Louder than A — and more ownable.

The call

Which one.

A is the magazine. B is the brand. For a gaming section that has to stand out next to Roblox and TikTok, B carries further — the red block is the part people remember. A stays the elegant alternative. Our lean is B, but it’s your call.

It’s not a still

The avatar walks.

Both directions run live. The avatar isn’t a photo — she walks toward the viewer on a loop, keyed clean onto the black, headline sitting over her.
It already feels alive on any platform, Squarespace included. This is the version we ship first — simple, solid, done.

The ceiling — optional

And if we push it further.

The effect — figure moves through the type
There’s a level above this that a template can’t reach. Instead of the avatar just walking, she moves through the headline — in front of the type, then behind it — with real depth, driven by scrolling. The page becomes a small 3D scene, not a flat image.

This needs a custom-built front end (WebGL / Blender) — not Squarespace or Wix. Two ways to drive it: scroll tied to video (our Arc study, or SC Aesthetic Labs), or the 3D model triggered directly (our Obsidian study). Same idea, two engines — both things we’ve built.
Arc — video trigger ↗ Obsidian — Blender trigger ↗ SC Aesthetic Labs ↗
Nothing to decide here — a separate project, best shown live. Just worth knowing the ceiling exists before we lock the simpler version.
